Jazz quartet composed by well-known and experienced Majorcan musicians: Rubén García (drums), Juanan Torandell (bass), Omar Lanuti (guitar) and Antònia Ferrà (voice). Smile of Silence offers a repertoire full of jazz and soul standards adapted to a musical language of their own. They play some of their own compositions, but they complete their gigs with some cover versions of artists such as Silje Nergaard, Rachelle Ferrell, Rebekka Bakken, Lizz Wright, Cassandra Wilson or even Pat Metheny. They made their debut at the First Jazz Festival held in the Majorcan town of Inca (August 14th, 2005), and since then they have played all over the island. The press have agreed that it is a superb band (see review of a concert in the local newspaper Ultima Hora, March 10th 2006).
